Public Comment extended for DEIR LTO of State Water Project in Sac-SJ Delta-Suisun Marsh-Suisun Bay

The Public Comment Period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Long-Term Operation of the State Water Project in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Suisun Marsh, and Suisun Bay has been extended to August 5, 2024

 

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR), as lead agency for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), is extending the public comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Long-Term Operations of the State Water Project (SWP) in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta), Suisun Marsh, and Suisun Bay by 21 days. The public comment period will close August 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

All substantive comments received on the Draft EIR during the public review period will be responded to in the Final EIR, and all comments will be considered in the decision-making process. No final decision will be made in the Draft EIR regarding going forward with the Long-term Operations of the SWP Project or in selecting an alternative; those decisions will only occur after completion of the CEQA decision-making process.
