California Water Plan Update 2018 Plenary

The third California Water Plan Update 2018 Plenary will be held on October 9 & 10, 2018 at the Civic Center Galleria in West Sacramento. The plenary will provide an opportunity for stakeholders and interested public to provide input and help shape the development of Update 2018. 

California State Controller Betty Yee will be the keynote speaker. DWR Director Karla Nemeth and Deputy Director Kristopher Tjernell will deliver key remarks during the two day event. A draft agenda is available (subject to change). 

Registration is required to attend. We will have a working lunch during the first day. Lunch will be available for $18 when you register and pay online ($15 if you pay at the door during registration [cash only]). 

Parking for the event is located at 1271 West Capitol Ave. You must park in the designated area to avoid citation, see the event parking map for reference.

For those seeking hotel accommodations for the night of October 9th:

• State employees should book their rooms through the Concur reservation system to obtain state rates at nearby hotels.

• For other stakeholders, a group rate of $159 (plus tax) is available on October 9th at the Best Western Sutter House at 1100 H Street in Sacramento. Complimentary parking and breakfast is included. Please reserve your room by calling (916) 441-1314, and referencing the group rate for “California Depart of Water Resources.” Reservation must be made by SEPTEMBER 25th.
