The 2016 Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act provides federal funding for water infrastructure. Section 4007, related to water storage, requires the Commission to determine that California storage projects seeking funding from the WIIN Act are consistent with Proposition 1, the California Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act, approved November 4, 2014.  The Regional Water Authority will present information to the Commission about how its proposed Sacramento Regional Water Bank project is consistent with Proposition 1. The Commission may determine the project is consistent with Proposition 1, or may take another action as the Commission determines, in its discretion.

9. Governor Newsom's Water Resilience Portfolio Initiative: Listening Session 2

Pursuant to Governor’s Executive Order N-10-19, calling for a portfolio approach to a climate-resilient water system, the Commission is conducting a second listening session.  The Commission will hear from two panels of water management experts regarding institutional and governance issues related to achieving a resilient water system in California.  The Commission will take public comment on these ideas and discuss how they align with the principles expressed in the Executive Order.  The Commission may direct staff to prepare recommendations to the water resilience portfolio working group.
